Is there a difference and why is it important?
Absolutely there is a difference!
In the beginning you are trained to build a list, right?
Don't worry we all are or were!
It's your so called warm market. Friends, family, etc…
What they don't teach YOU is that list is your only asset you have in the beginning. (more on that in a few)
Yes if they help YOU recruit a distributor from that list then they are yours to lead yet you cannot market to them because no one told YOU that building your list like a business is what you should do.
When you are just another Network Marketing downline builder, YOU will miss out on building a real business.
When you sign someone up into your opportunity, they become a part of the opportunities list, you fail to get your recruit to follow and trust you, and they only follow the Network Marketing Company.
Unfortunately it happens all the time.

About two months after I joined my first Network Marketing opportunity.
I sought training to improve my income, and use my time more efficiently.
I felt there had to be a way to monetize those exposed and said NO.
I mean If I shared the opportunity a 1000 times and 30 folks signed up and only 2 of those stuck with the opportunity that is a lot of effort with little return.
I had to learn how to change that right!
I absolutely learned how to change it, and I'm sharing what I learned with YOU.

What surprised me was the first thing my mentor taught me was to build a list, with a few exceptions of course.
This time I was to build a list of folks that were only interested in the product and services my business had to offer!
Yep you heard me right!
No friends and family.
These 3 simple things will lead YOU to building a business and not becoming just another Network Marketing downline builder!

2.Build a relationship with YOUR list
3. Market to YOUR list
It began the trail of followers that would buy from me even though they did not join my Network Marketing opportunity.
Even If you are a complete industry newbie or a seasoned direct sales distributor in the Network Marketing industry it is important to focus on building a business and not just a Network Marketing downline.
Not just for the security of having multiple streams of income in case something (god forbid) happens to your company, but also for the leverage of owning something. (Your list)
Work on building something of value that you own in your business so if the prospect decides not to join your business you can market various things to that person over a long period of time.
After all, don’t you want to get the most ROI for your valuable time and money?
